Do you ever feel like you are really good at extremes?  


Polar opposites seem to lure you one way this week and lead you in a different direction next week?
  
And you can't quite figure out how to bridge these qualities?


You wonder if you should be choosing one direction or another?

I get it!  I've been in this seemingly polar energy field many many times, and I've learned how to bridge these opposites in a most beautiful way.

When my family moved from Switzerland to New York, my life changed in many ways as I began to learn the English language and to discover the culture of being somewhat American.

My life at home remained completely European, while my life outside the home began to look more and more American. I was the bridge between these two cultures.

As I look in my life, I have been creating bridges over and over again.  

Let me share with you some examples, which I hope will give you peace of mind if you sometimes feel pulled in different directions in your life and in your business.

For 12 years, I worked at one of the top management consulting firms in the world. After leaving this professional services firm, I dove more deeply into the world of yoga, energy healing, healing martial arts, and studying these 10,000 year-old traditions with Asian masters.

I recall thinking that my former consulting colleagues would think I was crazy. And yet, I was so drawn to the spiritual world which opened up to me, that I could not ignore the pull.  At that time, I still lived in an either/or understanding of the world and therefore swung the pendulum all the way to the spiritual realm in my life.

Over time, I became more confident about the knowing that I am the bridge between these two worlds.

Still, I struggled between both worlds -- the spiritual and the material. The spiritual seemed more noble, but I was missing the material.

Would I really want to go without another handbag?

Do you recognize some of these opposites in yourself as well?

As I continue to coach and evolve my business, there too, I have moved from the strategic to the spiritual.

And yet again, there is a very peaceful, powerful merging of the two. I love letting wisdom guide (the spiritual) and I also like to bring in strategy when that is appropriate.

And what about this other common element in business?  

Merging making money with wellbeing!

What difference would it make in life to make money without burnout?
How would it feel to have your greatest wellbeing while measurably growing your business?

If you feel like you've been swinging from one end of the pendulum to another, know that at some point, you will come back to center.  

You will indeed recognize that you are all of these polar opposites and together these are meant to guide you to your highest level of life and business.

All of these examples I mention have brought big challenges in my life. It seemed as though I was only ever winning at one or the other. I worked really hard to bring these seeming polar opposites into harmony, and I want to mention them here:

• being in the spiritual and the material
• using strategy and spirit-led wisdom
• making money and maintaining wellbeing
• nurturing my relationship and growing as an entrepreneur

All the while being a mom -- although motherhood is the one thing that came really easily to me, and for that I am deeply grateful. You too, have something that comes easily to you so enjoy it and know that it is a gift!

Perhaps for you the challenge is motherhood and self-care, or motherhood and work -- just know that wherever your biggest challenge lies, you are growing from within, and that you are reclaiming the whole of you.

In my life, these extremes have shown up in full force, and each time, it was up to me to learn to bring them together in harmony. Sometimes it took years!

I have been a bridge my entire life:  across cultures, continents, languages, work environments, coaching clients, and more.  

If you feel out of sorts with the integration of things that you love and which speak deeply to you, know that the integration is exactly who you are meant to be. Perhaps you just can't quite see how yet.
